The trailer for this upcoming movie was released this past week, and I thought it was very pertinent to our discussion from class last week. I think that our classroom discussion about how and when to integrate technology into higher education is part of a larger discussion on how and when to integrate technology into our society.
Interesting film by Scorsese, John. I wonder in what ways the critically engaged development and use of technologies can, alternately, also help solve the problem. ?? I don't think technology is the problem; it's a tool, but we don't always use the tools we create effectively and well. Over-consumption and the production of too much 'schtuff' is a by-product of our economic system and cultural values. It's interesting to think about how our tech tools might be used to disrupt that trend. Thanks for posting!
